All of the solutions applied or tested so far have a direct effect on glass quality and are strongly dependent on electricity. Our solution aims to avoid changes to the melting process and is adapted for both new plant and retrofitting of existing - and running - furnaces.
The heart of our process is based on Hot Potassium Carbonate (HPC) CO2 absorption, with consolidated know-how, optimised to deal with the peculiarities of flue gas coming from a glass furnace.
The CO2 capture system uses a highly efficient air pollution control, ensuring compliance with the most stringent limits and the highest level of availability.
Multiple stages of heat recovery are integrated into the system, conceived as a single process, minimizing consumptions of power, footprint and eliminating the external heating and cooling needs.
