He also worked in the banking sector in Switzerland and as sales manager for industrial groups operating in the casting and steel production sector. He worked for several different UK glass manufacturing companies. His foundational experience being based at the Ardagh Knottingley Plant, where he progressed from Plant Engineering through manufacturing roles of Assistant Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager. This experience led to him being offered the role of “Mentor to Ardagh Moerdijk Plant” for the year of 2010. This was to help the Plant reach world-class performances in NNPB production, which it sustains to this day. For the next decade, he worked with the European Operational Excellence Group of Ardagh Glass Packaging. In April 2020, Peter left his employment with Ardagh and has been working freelance as a Glass Container Manufacturing Consultant. In addition to being a Design Team Member on the Glass Futures project, he is currently active on a range of consulting projects.
