Oscar Verheijen

Technology and Innovation Manager

CelSian

Since 1995, Mr Verheijen has worked in the glass industry with a broad experience in glass melting technology, furnace modelling and control, energy and emission reduction, and sustainability of glass production.

Mr Verheijen has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in glass technology. He has led multiple large bilateral and consortia projects with the global participation of glass-producing companies and their suppliers.

Currently, Mr Verheijen leads CelSian’s R&D activities with and for the international glass industry and is responsible for the unique experimental facilities developed by CelSian. In addition, he is the Chairman of GlassTrend, a global platform for the glass industry with over 60 members co-operating in the field of smart and sustainable glass production.
